Update on DS (surgery) PIP

(sorry for all the other posts but I wanted to give the back story)

We finally saw the pulmonologist at the end of October.  He said that since the "collapse" is such a small area, they aren't concerned. They think that because Caleb has asthma that he just can't get a deep enough breath to pop it open. We rescheduled DS's surgery for Oct 27. Two days before, I got a call from school saying to come pick him up because he has a 101 fever. Boo! So the surgery got bumped again. It got rescheduled for Nov. 10. 

I got a call yesterday saying they wanted us there at 5:45 this morning for a 7:30 procedure time. We got there and everything went off without a hitch. I guess third time is charm  He is fine and the surgery only took about 30 minutes. He's a little bruised and sore but he says he wants to go back to school tomorrow.

wow, that was quite the ordeal.  Glad you were finally able to get the surgery over with and it's great that Caleb is feeling good enough to want to go to school tomorrow.  When will you get results from the tumor (I'm assuming they will biopsy it, right?)

Oops, I forgot to mention that. We should hear the pathology in 5-7 days. The doctor said he wasn't too worried about it but it's normal procedure to test it.

Yay! Glad all went well - and that it's finally over with!
