new plan...and it doesn't include Clomid :-)

So I just got home from my appt with my RE and came up we with a new plan of treatment! After 7 cycles of Clomid I am finally going to start injectables! The good news is that because I don't get a period I don't have to wait for AF to come.  I go back tomorrow morning for bw and u/s, and as long as everything looks normal I get to start Follistim tomorrow :-)

 Have any of you ladies been on this medication? If so any bad side effects?

    No advice; just wanted to wish you good luck! Hopefully this new plan will yield better results for you!

    TTC#1 since 5/2010 (charting, AO)
    2/2011: DX: PCOS, hypothyroid (1700 mg Metformin, 50 mcg Synthroid)
    8/10/2011: First RE appt.
    9/2011 & 10/2011: Clomid + Ovidrel + TI = BFN
    11/2011: Femara + Ovidrel + TI = BFN
    1/2012: Femara + Follistim + Ovidrel + TI = BFP! (Praise the Lord!)
    ?3/23/2012: Graduated from the RE... moving on to a regular OB!?
    ?10/29/2012: Our precious baby boy was born via emergency C-section. 5 lbs, 13 oz; 18" long ?

    No advice on the meds, but glad to hear you are moving on! If this cycle doesn't work for me, I probably will be starting injectables as well. GL!!

    I have only done one month with Follistim so far. I did mine with Clomid though. I did 100mg Clomid days 3-7 and Follistim 7-10. Had an u/s day 11 and had 4 mature follies. We did TI and did not get KU. I got cysts following, but from what I hear, that is pretty normal after follistim.

    Honestly I don't know the answer.  The only time I get a period is when they put me on Provera.  I was always normal before I started BC and during but after I stopped taking it it never came.  One doctor had said it was because I don't ovulate, but I don't know it's all confusing to me :(

    That is great news!  I was not on follistim but Bravelle.  Of what I have heard, they are all pretty similar but I could be wrong.  Bravelle, I liked so much better than clomid.  I really had no side effects and I got my BFP the first round.  I hope this is your take home baby cycle!
