So, I've been putting off posting (mostly bc I hate cheesy terms like AF and BD) but I decided I've been lurking long enough to warrant an intro. Plus, I'm bored.
A little about my TTC Journey: At 18 years old I went on the pill to help control my super-abnormal periods. Fast forward 11 years, I decide to go off the pill (March 2011) to start thinking about TTC. Three months later...no period. I go to my doc, who does a bunch of bloodwork and says, "Congrats, you have PCOS. You will either have no kids of your own or you will take fertility meds and be the next octomom." Okay, maybe that's not exactlllyyyy what she said, but it's what I heard. So, I'm now on Metformin which doen't seem to be working as I still havent gotten a period. I'm supposed to give it until the end of the year and if I still dont "get a visit from AF" (ugh) then I get to start Clomid. Can't wait, since the Met already makes me sick.
Anyway, hi. I love reading your entertaining stories and would love to commiserate with others in a similar situation as mine for the times when I'm feeling down.

Hi Lyss!
I don't see any issues with you introing here as well as TTGP, since you are on the met and it sounds like Clomid is in your future. best of luck to you

Why would you delete? You didn't do anything wrong. Like I said, there is a great source of information here, especially for PCOS. I would into on the other board though as well! GL to you!

I will say honestly, this board intimidates me more only bc I dont know what all the medical acronyms stand for...
I am very nervous about probably starting clomid soon though, so I will stalk some posts for that for sure..

This! And please don't be intimidated by the acronyms... remember that, at one point, none of the participants on this board knew what they meant. Everyone has to start somewhere!
And, FWIW, I have PCOS as well. You have my sympathy. Whichever board you settle on, I wish you all the best! I hope your doctor recommends a treatment plan that works well for you!
