Hey y'all!
I'm wondering what the c-section experience was like at AAMC. I'm having a scheduled c-section on April 10th. I know this hospital is very pro BFing and I am hoping to be able to have LO in the recovery room with me afterwards.
Do you recover in a room alone or do you go to a triage type area for recovery (I have seen this on TLC for some hospitals).
Thanks!
Re: c-sections at AAMC?
You should be able to tell the doctor and nurses that you want to BF as soon as possible and they should listen to you and do everything they can to facilitate it. I didn't have a C/S at AAMC, but I know that some hospitals now even have the baby do skin-to-skin while the mom is still in the OR, this practice is mainly done by the nurses.
you can google "gentle c-section" and bf'ing after c-section to get more ideas.
