So each month the kids have "homework" (a coloring page) that they bring in with their tuition. They earn a sticker and the teacher hangs them all up. The 1st was a basket of leaves. Justin's basket was blue marker and the leaves were scribbled every color of the rainbow- I was so proud. I was looking at some of the pages Tuesday- perfectly colored in the lines, accurate colors for everything... I made a joke to the teacher and she kind of sighed and said, "ummm yeah he didn't color that". They had to take home a big cut out of a feather to creatively decorate- one kid's was like decoupage (sp?) scrapbook papered! Really parents?!?! You're helping with/doing your kids preschool homework? Now I'm a creative, competative mom but jeez- let them at least do their own stuff!
Re: Pre-K vent
UGH. TOTALLY missing the point. That is obnoxious.
This is kind of how I felt about the mom who brought 3 desserts to celebrate her son's bday (same day as my son). I freaked out on the teacher a little after I picked Owen up because they have a no cookie/candy/cake/cupcake policy. The teacher said it was great and okay because the mom got all of the recipes from one of those cookbooks that hides veggies and fruit in everything. Um, okay. Brownies, cupcakes and smores with veggies. Whatever. Trying to show off for the other parents? Something?
