Where all in France are you heading? The pastries alone are worth the trip!
I'm so excited for you. Nothing cures better than travel!
We booked a trip a couple weeks after this cycle. If it's a success we'll celebrate and if not we'll drown our sorrows in some wine and good food.
Re: farmerlynda
I'm super excited too. I hope that for once, maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to think about something other than babies and IF...
We'll be spending a week in Paris (booked an apartment through VRBO) and then taking a train down to the south of France and stay there for a bit over a week. We'll be staying in Aix en Provence where some friends of ours live and using that as a base point to explore other towns and villages. Who knows, might take an overnight trip to Italy.
DH is really excited for the pastries. I am too, but I have to say I'm most excited about the cheese! I'm a huge cheese lover.
Any recommendations? Where have you been and loved in France?
ETA: And where are you going this time? I hope you have something to celebrate...
Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

We've been to Paris a few times and Reims to visit the champagne houses, which is a good day trip. We want to get down to Provence, but were hoping to go when the lavender is in bloom, so you'll have to fill me in! I'm sure it's beautiful all year.
Paris is definitely worth staying for a week. There are so many incredible little shops and place to explore. It's one of our favorites.
We almost decided to go back for this coming trip, but instead will go to part of Italy we haven't yet visited.
If you PM me your email I can send you a guide I made for one of my friends and a few links for places that we really enjoyed.
The cheese is legendary, too. Not sure if it will compare with your artisan goat cheese, but it's quite good!
Have fun in Italy -- I've always wanted to go! I took Italian for a year in college and so I speak -a tiny- bit of Italian. But I also took Latin in high school (nerd I know) and know a bit of Spanish, so now I basically have some bastardized mutt of a Romance language in my head. In other words, not useful at all.
My husband spent a semester abroad in Paris, so he knows French better than I know Italian, which is partly why we chose France over Italy... the pressure will be all on him!
Hope you fill us in on your trip when you get back.
