It is like a virtual cork board. Rather than save everything to your favorites, you "pin" them to pinterest. You can then sort them (cooking, crafts, clothes, blogs, etc) so when you are looking for a recipe, for example, you go to your baking board and click on it and it will take you to the source (original web posting where you pinned from), rather than look thru all the sites you marked as favorites (which are all jumbled together).
