Friday: We are planning on starting our Salt Dough Christmas Ornaments. They are going to be DS's gift to family members.
Friday: This. A is off school so we need to get some ornaments done to send out to family. Maybe an early movie night before A goes to her Dad's house.
We're off, since I work for the feds. I'm going shopping for jeans and maybe shoes in the morning, and meeting a friend for lunch and either a movie or reading at a coffee shop.
I'm surprised at how many people in my office took this week off. I totally understand taking advantage of the holiday to stretch a vacation, but I'm surprised that people are taking vacation a couple weeks before Thanksgiving.
I have a long weekend, but unfortunately DW's work does not have Friday off. I'll probably end up being lazy at home plus maybe some errands. I need a haircut and we're out of diet coke, emergency!
Saturday we're going to a 3 year old's birthday party with a teddy bear picnic theme.
Sunday I have no idea yet!
I am so excited to have a 3day weekend, and it feels like this is the kick off of a lot of days off work (I'm off the whole week of T-day and the week after Xmas). But I'm trying not to gloat about this one for DW's sake.
TTC with PCOS since July 2011.
IVF Oct/Nov 2012
Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 190, Beta #3 = 1044
Cautiously optimistic.
I have off tomorrow, the kids don't have school, and L is off writing. Blah.
Tomorrow I have no idea what we are doing in the morning (perhaps pj/play at home/Mommy putz around the house.) In the afternoon, I am taking them to a kids performer that they love. He is so stupid - but I guess that is what appeals to 5y old boys.
Saturday the kids have swimming in the morning. We might go to a huge playground to burn off energy so they take a nap. They are going to Parents Night Out while L (takes a break from writing) and we go see the new movie about J.Edgar Hoover.
Sunday I am going to take the kids to the zoo and then in the evening, I think L is going to come home early so she and the kids can watch the first Harry Potter (she just finished reading it to them.)
Yes, I have a three day weekend. I'm don't think I'm going to be doing what I really want to be doing. :-(
damn it. :-(
I'll be flying to the big city tomorrow for a solo long weekend with some fabulous women I know. I can't wait! Flying home late Sunday afternoon, so I'll be home in time to have dinner and spend some time with my family before the boy goes to bed.
I am not off. In fact, it is my last day of work before I go on parental leave and DW comes back to work. I am feeling sad for her...it will be a hard transition.
I am working tomorrow...my hospital only takes the major holidays. E is in a private school so they are open tomorrow. I suppose that's good since I have to work.
Saturday E has her last soccer of the season in the morning. Afternoon is TBD.
Sunday E is going to visit her nana and papa (paternal grandparents) for the day. I will likely run errands, do chores and other productive things until E comes home.

madisonpeas, sending you and your wife transition hugs. I had a hard time when I had to go back to work...
I don't think we have any actual plans for the weekend... We're both off tomorrow, and we're so tired we'll probably just play with J all weekend.
Re: Holiday Weekend?

Saturday: No plans that I know of.

Not even a little bit. It's been a rough week at church.
Friday (my day off): funeral, followed by ministry conference
Saturday: conference continued. Friend's birthday party in the evening!
Sunday: regular church workday.
And, that's my weekend?
