My 18 month old is as tall as a 3 year old

I know the way they measure height with babies and toddlers isn't exactly scientific at my pediatrician's office (they lay them down, stretch them out and draw a pen mark at the bottom of their foot and top of their head, then measure how far it is between the pen marks), but nevertheless my child is 36.5 inches tall - give or take an inch or two.

She's 18 months old and already 3 feel tall! And 28.5 lbs, btw.

She is tall! My son is a tall one too (although not quite that tall).  At 18 mos he was a 1/4 in shy of 3 ft and still only weighs 28 lbs now at 26 months.

Evie is tall too.  At her 18 month well baby she was 34" tall and 33 pounds!  Apparently we make lots of TALL babies in Baltimore!

DD lost weight when I took the bottle from her.  She refused milk and hardly ate.  We are back on track though!

 WOW at 36.5in!!  Mine is a shorty at 32.5, hehehe!

She is a tall one - nothin' wrong w/ that!   Maybe it is something in the Baltimore water... DS was 33.5" at his 15 month checkup (DH was joking that he was disappointed b/c he dropped from off the charts for height to "only" 96th percentile ).

Dylan just had his 18mo appt 2 wks ago & was 33" tall & 28lbs.  She said he was 80% for both.

My oldest was the same way! Her growth slowed down since then, and now she is a 2-year-old who is the size of a 3-year-old.

Yeah I keep thinking she will slow down, but every time we see the pediatrician for a measurement, her spot on the chart (well, actually off the chart) is higher and higher. When is this slowdown supposed to occur?!

DD really slowed down when I took the bottle away from her.  Her milk intake decreased drastically bc she refused it in a sippy.
