CD10 monitoring: lining at 7.0, rt.: 2 16 mm follies, lt: a 12 and a 9 follie. Instructed to take no more meds, come back tomorrow.
CD11: lining at 6.1, rt: ONE 18mm follie, one 12 mm. Lt: a 12.1 and a 9mm follie.
Tonight I'm supposed to take bravele injects again, and go back in the morning.
Has anyone else experienced a follie "shrink", or be mis measured, or something? And what's with the lining issue? I'm really at a loss...
Anyone have any good questions I could ask my nurse tomorrow morning besides, WTH is wrong with my body?
TIA!
Re: Questions about monitoring for iui...any help is appreciated
I can't help you with the lining issue, but yes, I've had a follie shrink. When I went in on CD 6 I had 7 (yes 7) 13s. When I went back on CD 7, I had 2 14s, 2 13s, and the rest were 10 or 11. By CD 9 I had 2 18s, 1 15 and the rest were all 10 or less.
My RE was not concerned at all, and said that it's perfectly normal for 1 or 2 to pull ahead and become dominant. As that happens, the non-dominant ones will sometimes shrink.
GL!
I've had follies grow and shrink and my lining too. Although with the lining thing, I'm not as sure it's just u/s clarity and different people measuring, aka user error, or if it really is fluctuating as much as I've sometimes "seen."
That's just why monitoring is so important! Things can change and your body can still throw you for a loop, even when being "controlled" by meds and treatments!
Good luck and I hope the lining thickens up a little and that rockstar follie keeps goin!
I've had a follie shrink on me too. It sucks b/c it makes you question how the cycle is going to turn out. For me the follie finally got its butt in gear... of course I didn't get pg that go round... still waiting for that to happen.
The monitoring appts are meant to keep track of everything... even with meds, your body can go haywire (maybe even b/c of the meds). Just keep hanging in there and hopefully things will kick into gear soon.
Also, could be that the 18mm is becoming the dominate one and that usually makes the other follicles shrink down (I know this is different with injects b/c the point is to have a few more follies...but it still could happen). HTH
