Kegels and TTC

Okay so I just read the link someone posted about FF cervical mucus and I read it as though Kegels should NOT be done after intercourse if you are TTC.  However, I swear I have read before that they are good b/c it moves the sperm towards the cervix such as an orgasm would. 

I have been doing Kegels every night after intercourse to "help" them up there, is this bad?

I have never heard one way or the other.  I don't do anything "special" after sex to help the sperm out.

The strong, smart sperm is already on it's way to the target by the time sex is overwith.  Kegels, propping your hips up, etc. isn't going to do anything.  Just get up an pee so you don't get a UTI.

Funny you mention this, I also thought they were good to do, but after reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility they state that you shoud not do them when ttc. It moves the sperm further from your cervix. They mention a good time to do those when you want to check your cm.

Sorry, TCOYF agrees - and actually has a whole page dedicated to it.  She refers to it as the " Semen Emitting Technique", suggesting using kegels to push semen out a half hour after sex to reduce the confusion between semen and CM.  She also reccomends using kegels to push CM down from the cervix to make tracking it easier.

I've totally noticed that in your siggy/profile pic...I'm pretty smitten with my pugs too.  Moby has been with us for 10 (gasp) years.  GL to you too!
