Antagonist Protocol Questions

I know everyone is different, but I'm curious based on studies I've been reading.

If you are/were on an antagonist protocol, how many days after the last BCP did you start stimming?  How many days of stimming before using the antagonist?

  • I started stims 5 days after my last bcp. I am starting my antagon tonight with my 5th day of stims.
  • It is common to either start stims a certain number of days after stopping BCP (I started stims 3 days after stopping BCP. With this you won't always have a new period.

Or to start stims on day 3-5 after the first day of bleeding following cessation of BCP (So stop BCP, wait for period, then 3-5 days later start stims)

Or to start stims on day 3-5 following a period without BCP.

The number of days before using the antagonist varies by the growth of the folicles and the preference of the doctor. I started ganirelix on day 8 or 9 (it's been a while) of stims. I didn't have my first check until day 5- and had very little response on day 5. So my dosage was adjusted and once I showed a proper response- I started the ganirelix as well.
