My sister is expecting a baby girl in March and she has an older daughter named Zoey. They are having trouble coming up with another name (the boy name they had chosen was Max if that gives you any idea on their name type). My niece likes Ava but my sister and BIL don't care for that name. (Me and my mom thought maybe they could find a name that Ava could be a nickname). I want to help because his family keeps coming up with family names from HIS side and leaving our side out.
ps I think they thinking Elizabeth for a middle name, they don't want to use it for a first name.
TIA
Re: Name to go with Zoey
Zoey is one of two names that we have picked out if we have a girl. (What is "your" Zoey's middle name- out of curiosity?)
MY DD is Harper. I obv think that goes well with Zoey since we're considering it!!
Other thoughts...
Jane, Amelia, Avery, Hanna, Sophia, Grace, Charlotte...
Zoey and Willow
Zoey and Reese
Zoey and Avery
Zoey and Aliza
Margaret Nicole (after both our grandma and his grandma (they got lucky they had the same name and Nicole is mine and his sisters middle name)
Thanks for your suggestions. Are you doing Zoey with the y or just Zoe?
amelia
lauren
charlotte
claire
violet
norah
audrey
I think Zoe is familiar enough with the general population that the 'y' isn't really needed.
Zoey and Ramona
Zoey and Piper
Zoey and Autumn

I'm kinda thinking this too.
If she is asking you for suggestions, I think Ivy Elizabeth would make a great pairing with Zoey.
lol my sister thought the same. She thought Joey is spelt with a y and it sounds like Zoey, so Zoe would get Joe.
They are open to ideas because they are having trouble. His family keeps coming up with his families names and I want to give them ideas that have no impact on either family. They don't need to listen if they don't want but if they want to hear some suggestions I want to be able to help.
I agree. I have a friend who just named her daughter Zoe and I keep thinking it looks more like it's pronounced 'Zo' Her reasoning was her older son is Eli and she wanted to stick with 3 letter names. I honestly think she didn't put much time into thinking of names but that just my internal opinion. On the outside I just grin and bear it.
I like Avery with the nn, Avie.
I think that goes beautifully with Zoey and also the middle name Elizabeth.
