Sleep

Are any of you dealing with the 9 month sleep regression?  LO has been waking up screaming around 10-11PM, she is wide awake, making it difficult to get her back down.  Hubby can't handle it, he loves his sleep.  His words, "What is wrong with her?"...UMMM if I knew I'd fix it and we'd all be sleeping!  DUH

Just curious how you all are dealing with this.  I've tried letting her CIO but she screams bloody murder, I feel bad letting her CIO when it gets to that point.  So, usually her and I will hangout snuggled on the couch until she falls asleep.  She goes down fine at bedtime, falling asleep on her own in her crib.

Re: Sleep

  • We went through this for a couple of weeks and it was a nightmare.  As soon as he would fall asleep or be put down he would scream.  He wouldn't sleep unless someone was holding him.  It eventually passed and he went back to his normal schedule.  Hang in there.

  • Sort of the same thing started happening around 9 months for us. She would wake up at 3 am every day.  I would give her a bottle and rock her back to sleep most of the time. Hang in there, it only lasted a few weeks for us.

  • I attribute this to teething pain. Which is why I think they need to be comforted and rocked. Poor babies.

  • Same thing happend with us.  He would wake up around 11 every night and would scream with no consoling him, or would be wide awake and want to play so I let him play until he was finally ready to settle down.  It lasted about 2 weeks for us, at the same time he also managed to get 4 teeth too.  Since then he has slept better then ever!
