Dont take stool softener on an empty stomach

My doctor recommended a stool softener since I've been on Zofran which gives you terrible constipation.  I just took one on a semi-empty stomach right after I got to work before I started to eat my banana and nutri-grain bar.  And I totally threw it right up, ugh the taste of the medicine is disgusting!! I can't get this burning medicine taste out of my mouth yuck Ick! The bad part is that I was feeling great with no m/s so far until I took that.  Never again!

    oh yuck!  I hope your day gets better.  I can't take any pill on an empty stomach, pregnant or not!  Ick!

    Well I had a bowl of cereal about an hour before I took it, so I didn't really think i truely had an "empty" stomach but I guess so.  I'll only take it with meals from now on.  I'm still tasting the nasty medicine gross.  I'm not sure if the medicine is worth it for m/s when it gives you another terrible problem.  Just can't win lol.

    Try sucking on a hard candy.  That helps when my PNVs make me burp fish taste.
