Something nice

I have come to realize that I post here only to complain. And not that I have terrible life. I should change that habit and  remember to post about good things that are happening to me. For example, 4 night in a row Ian is waking up at night to eat only once, rather then 3-4 times. I finally got some sleep! Also, he has been reaching and grabbing for a while now. And a couple of weeks ago he discovered his feet. Now he is playing with them all the time. It has been a real joy watching him grow so far. He hasn't started rolling over on a regular base though. He did it couple of times in a row in one day and that was it. Maybe this is because he hates tummy time. Not sure how to encourage that.

OK, enough niceness for now, but I will remember to post again. Good night!

Re: Something nice

  • Have our babies switched bodies? We were up at 10:00, 1:30, 3:30, 5:00, and 6:15! But, in keeping with the sprit of your post, Harlow woke up all smiley and giggly, and sat in her highchair blowing raspberries for me while I ate my breakfast. Can't get much cuter than that!

Those moments are worth it for all the sleepless nights!

  • If he weren't so cute, my hardly-ever-sleeps baby would frustrate me to no end.  On a good night, he's up twice.  most nights however, he's up more like 4 or 5 times.  And he doesn't go to bed until 10:30 or 11 and is up at 8 so every 2 hours or so...

Anyway - on to something nice:  He's grabbing at everything (and it goes straight in his mouth!) and he's been sucking his big toe at diaper changes (cloth diapers make it hard for him to get his foot to his mouth with them on).  He's now rolling everywhere to grab things too so NOTHING is safe...let the first round of baby-proofing begin!

  • Yay for niceness! ANd it's okay. I seem to remember complaining all the time when DS was a NB and wondering how being so happy could give me so much to complain about.
