So distracted at bed time

Ohh...the night light is on!

Ohh...the dog is laying in his bed!

Ohh...the dog is snoring!

Ohh...Mom's sweatshirt has strings!

Ohh...the humidifer is on!

Ohh...there's clothes in the closet!

Get my drift?  I have to practically pin her down to take a bottle, get comfy and finally decide that Mom is right...I am tired.

Re: So distracted at bed time

  • The last few nights have been like that for us, too. Her night nursing has turned into quite a battle where she tears off my boob at any little sound, light, or movement anywhere in the house. it's like a damn meerkat poking it's head out of the ground every 5 seconds. Tonight, she squealed herself to sleep...yep.

  • DD does that all the time now. It's so frustrating. I have starting nursing mostly in bed because it seems like there are less distractions.

  • I make sure DD is really tired, which usually happens right around 6:30. Then, she gets a bath, which makes her even more tired because she HAS to play with the water. Then, we go in her room with nothing but the light from the Angelcare on and she gets her bottle. She can't see enough to be distracted Wink
