It is not popular in the US, but it is most compatible with our BabyJogger Stroller.
I want a Chicco car seat, but the Baby Jogger stroller, which I have read reviews that they don't mix well together.
So, does anyone have anything good or bad to say about Maxi Cosi?
Thanks!
Re: Anyone have experience with Maxi Cosi infant seat?
The Maxi-Cosi is a good seat, high safety ratings, wonderfully light weight and stylish... however, the base does not have an angle adjuster. As a result, it could not be safely installed in our 2006 Prius or Nissan Leaf in the rear middle seat -- it's angle overcompensated for other car models. It could be safely installed in the side seats, but I was not willing to do that (side impact danger).
So... make sure it works in your car.
By the way, most pediatricians and research is showing that travel systems are bad for newborns/infants (https://www.sleepingbaby.net/carseats.php). The angle of a carseat inhibits their breathing slightly. As a result, you're not supposed to keep your baby in a carseat for longer than a 1 hour stretch of time, and ONLY use the carseat while in the car. So you might as well not get a travel stroller system, and just place your baby more safely in a bassinet style stroller or other baby carrier until he/she has full head control and can sit up unaided.
