For the last two weeks I have been getting pounding headaches every night to the point where if, wait I mean when, I get up to pee at midnight I can't get back to sleep because the pain is blinding. I can take tylenol, but sometimes it barely takes the edge off. I'm 13wks so I was thinking that it was hormonal and the placentas are starting to take over, or maybe all that extra blood flowing around. Do you have any suggestions to make them stop?

Re: headache help??
talk to your OB. There are a few Rx drugs that are allowed during pg- all are opiates, so beware of addition... but they work much better than tylenol (which doesn't work at all when i get a migraine).
Vicodin, Percocet, Tylenol with Codine and Fioricet are all drugs I was Rx'd at one point or another during my pg - some worked, some didin't.
Also- try some caffiene and an ice pack on the head. Peppermint oil (aeromatherapy kind) helps, too.
migraines during pg suck the big one
I also find that i get migraines at night if my head is laying too flat- my nose gets too stuffy... and esp with the heat on now- a humidifyer might help you a lot... also, spray some saline spray in there.
