I got a sample disc at the OB today b/c I've been coughing for well over a month and not getting much more than 30 minute blocs of sleep (regularly) is really getting my body down.
He wants me to try it 2x a day once right before bed.
I've googled a bit and it seems common, just wondered if anyone had any personal experience thanks!
Re: anyone use adv air (while pregnant)
My OB didn't want me to use Ad vair while I was pg, because she didn't feel there was enough info on it. I used Pulmi cort instead, which doesn't have one of the ingredients in Ad vair, but is still a long-acting inhaler (taken 2x/day). I was pleased with Pulmi cort and still use it seasonally when allergies cause bad asthma flare-ups for me.
ETA: I used Ad vair in Austin when I wasn't pg and it helped control my asthma really well.
My doc mentioned something about ad vair having some ingredient that can cause sudden death. So I stopped taking ad vair when I got PG and switched to Flo vent. I had the same issue with the really bad coughing that amped up right after I got pregnant. After starting Flo Vent it stopped almost immediately. I am also taking sing ulair and zyr tec. My asthma just got really bad after I getting pg this time.
ugh, you guys totally freaked me out. I've had two doses now and it seemed to help, but when it wore off it was horrible.
I'll email my doctor and talk about it today.
Thanks gals.
I've seen tons of people taking it through multiple pregnancies and everything be just fine, but internet people and local internet people are two different balls of wax
