Medicine with Clomid

Was anyone perscribed any medicine to go with Clomid? I'm on my first cycle of medicine (YAY!!!) and have been taking Clomid for 5 days. I go in next Monday for the follow-up ultrasound and if everything is okay I can then take the Ovidrel shot and then I also have a prescription for prometrium for after olvulation. Is it standard to be taking all of this or is this a little more aggressive than usual? I did tell my dr. I would like to be aggressive. I've done all the blood work, an HSG, and my DH has had his SA so I'm not concerned that my dr is jumping into things too quickly, just wondering if this is standard proceedure and whether or not anyone has had any luck with this. Thank You!!!

    That sounds pretty standard to me.  I never took prometrium, but after my first IUI they drew blood at day 7 and my progestrone was fine so I didn't need it.  It may just be a little extra precaution your doctor is doing for you, or you may have had low progestrone in the past.

    IVF 2.0- ER 10/17; ET 10/20-One 12 cell, one 10 cell and one 8 cell embryo transfered
    BFP!   11/16/12 U/S- Two nuggets with perfect heartbeats! EDD 7/10/13

    That sounds pretty standard.  As long as you are having some ultrasounds - it seems like a normal medicated cycle.

    ME: 31 PCOS - DH: 32 Perfect. 
    TTC #1 started 8.2010. 
    BFP #1 3.2.11Blighted ovum, missed m/c, 4.3.11-6.22.11 Provera

    BFP #2 Aug 2011 Clomid 50mg+Met missed m/c found 9w5d | cytotec 10.26.11 
    BFP #3 - CD36 - Jan. 2012 - 100mg Clomid + 2000met-  Baby Boy born 10.06.12 with 1 in a billion CHD. Perfect otherwise.

    On my medicated cycle with clomid, I took progestrone (same as prometrium) after ovulation.  It's not any more aggressive than just clomid.  It will not help with conception but carrying the baby.

    That is exactly what my RE prescribed me... Unfortunately I didn't have any response on Clomid. GL!!

    Exactly what I am doing this cycle. Just finished my clomid last night. Monitoring appointment is tomorrow morning. GL to you!

    And I haven't had a prog. draw after Oing, but maybe the RE will this cycle. But was still prescribed prometrium.
