Trouble TTC

Now what?

DH & I have had all of the basic testing done. DH's SA was normal. My blood work and HSG have come back normal. My dr does not recommend clomid for me, as I do not have a problem with ovulation. My dr has now referred me to an RE. Any idea what to expect at my first appointment? I think the basics have been covered - wondering what they might recommend next? It's so frustrating to not know what is going on with my body :( I appreciate any input you might have. Thanks ladies, and good luck to you all.

Re: Now what?

  • They may want to do their own testing. Bring your records with you. It was wise of your OB to put you under the care of a RE to proceed. If there are no severe MFI issues and your tubes are open, I assume they will start you with either TI or IUI.

  • They might want to do a HSG to make sure your tubes are open, and re chek or do some additional labs and a u/s on CD 3 and go from there. GL to you!

  • They are going to ask you a lot of questions the first appt.  Bring your records and family history.

My RE gave me a 4 page questionaire to fill out prior to the first meeting and asked me to bring my last pap results and last physical results.

  • Thanks everyone. Maybe the RE will recommend Clomid? My Dr didn't think it would be an option I would have, but of course, that isn't his specialty. Hope to get some more insight with my RE. I'm trying to remain hopeful, but it gets so hard. GL to you all.
