My sister miscarried :-(

I'm absolutely sick for her. She would be 8 wks but started spotting so she went for an u/s. She has a 3yr old DD and has wanted a 2nd child for a looong time, and it took her YEARS to get her DH on board (which is a whole other story.)

She is a teacher in the Bronx, and doesn't get paid maternity, so she had to plan for a summer baby in order not to lose pay. I have no idea if she is going to wait another full year or if she will just say F-it and try for a school year baby, or if she will even try again at all. My heart is breaking for her, I know that pain, and I hate that she has to feel it. So not fair.

Thank you for all the kind words. She decided she didn't want to wait another year to try for a summer baby, so they will be trying as soon as they get the green light. (Thank God!) It's so great to be able to "talk" to you ladies about this, she hadn't announced the pregnancy yet, so there is really nobody other than family that I can talk to about it. Thank you again.
