Hi! I'd like to be added to the IVF group.  DH and I have been TTC for 19 months (who's counting) and we've gone through 3 Clomid cycles + IUI and 1 injectibles cycle + IUI.  No BFPs yet! 

Been on BCP since 10/26 and will start Lupron injections tomorrow morning.  Estimated stims start date is 11/18.

Think that's it...if I am missing anything just let me know.  Thanks

AF came early, today, so I wont be going in for a beta on Wed. This is a break cycle as required by my RE. We are going to do EPP Dec into Jan.....QOTW 1. If you want to keep doing the check ins, then you should do it. 2. I am open about our IF to our immediate families, 3 of my friends, 2 coworkers, and my cousin. 3. When I cycle I share details with my sister and Bethany1026 (my IRL friend). 4. DH supports me by taking care of me and doing everything.

Hi!  Good luck to everyone this week, and congrats to all the bfps!  Hugs to those who need them.

 FET is scheduled for Friday (RE suggested Thursday, but I have Friday off), so based on what we did last time, I think Beta will probably be 11/20.  That would be 9dp6dt.  We might try to push it to Monday, but I don't know.

 QOTW:  If you didn't want to do it anymore, then you shouldn't have to, but I think you do a great job!

2.  I tell some things to my mom (who got pregnant on her first try 3 time, so I'm sure you can guess how successful that is).  I also talk to my MIL, who dealt with IF.  Some friends know, but nobody really knows the details.  

 3.  This board  Nobody IRL really knows the details. 

4.  He makes dinner and cleans the house.  He's pretty good about handling things I ask him to.  He goes to pretty much all my appointments with me.

Update: Today is 5dp5dt. I took an internet cheapie hpt this afternoon. Negative, so I think it is safe to say the trigger is out. I hadn't really been thinking about it, but now I'm starting to get nervous over the result. I can't believe my beta is still nine days away!

QOTW:

1 - If I were to do an IUI in the near future, would you like me to find someone else to take over this check-in? It doesn't bother me at all. But, if you'd like to find someone to manage things in the meantime, I'd understand.

2 - Who are you open with about your IF? My parents, DH's brother/wife, my friends, and some coworkers.

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with? With this cycle, I've been really open with everyone. I'm really regretting it right now.

4 - What does your SO do to support you? Until my m/c, DH would always plan "period treats" after AF came to cheer me up. Now, he is really there for emotional support. He is always there to tell me how proud he is of me or how much he loves me for doing this for us. He also runs errands, picks up food, and helps out around the house. I couldn't ask for anything else.

Update:  I am on day 7 of stims with only three follicles.  Hoping some more "pop up" and to make it to ER.

IF History: TTC since 12/08, 4 rounds of clomid + TI, 4 clomid IUIs, 3 losses (1 late loss @37 weeks and 2 early losses)

1) It doesn't bother me if you lead the check in if you're doing an IUI cycle

2) Most of my good friends know about my IF, as well as my parents, sister, and DH's mom.

3) My good friends, our parents, and my sister know we're cycling.

4) DH has been coming to my appointments and he's attending the classes that our RE offers.

Update:  I got AF yesterday, so the IUI didn't work.  I called my RE today and the plan is to do another IUI this month.  I think we will do two more actually - this month and next - and then look at using the discounted IVF cycle. 

QOTW:  A few questions this week.
1 - If I were to do an IUI in the near future, would you like me to find someone else to take over this check-in?    I wouldn't see why you couldn't still do the check in, unless you don't want to.  I am still posting here even with doing an IUI - maybe I shouldn't be - but I just feel like after having done 2 IVF's I'm in a different place than just doing IUI's for the first time - kwim?  Besides, this is a cost saving measure for now, we may very well have to do another IVF. 

2 - Who are you open with about your IF?  I am open with a few close friends and my mom.  If people ask me (like at work a couple people have) then I will tell them things.  My IL's don't know that we have ever done IUI's or IVF.  They know about 3 out of the 4 losses, I don't think DH even told them about the last one. 

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with?  I share with a couple close friends and a little bit with the other counselor at work - sometimes, sometimes not her though. 

4 - What does your SO do to support you?  He is always there for me, listens to me cry. When I did injects he used to come in the bathroom and stand there with me.  He did my PIO shots.  He used to also get my injects ready and clean up after.  But, really he's just my rock of support.

I'd like to be added, please. 

MH and I have been TTC for about a year and a half, and I've been charting to conceive for... 15 (?) cycles.  MH has ongoing primary testicular failure -- our best guess is that it was caused by thyroid cancer radiation treatment from when he was 20. 

Because of this, we have severe MFI (count ranging from a few hundred thousand to a few million on good days).  We've tried all different types of natural remedies, and have had no increase in count.  All the specialists we've seen have told us it's straight to IVF to ICSI, no other options.

If my damn AF cooperates we'll start cycling in December for a January ER.

QOTW:  A few questions this week.
1 - If I were to do an IUI in the near future, would you like me to find someone else to take over this check-in?   I'm new here, so I don't count -- but I would say stay

2 - Who are you open with about your IF?  My mom & ILs know.  But I only talk about it to a couple of friends on a regular basis.

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with?  Haven't yet.  I imagine probably just MH.  I'm not very good at being vulnerable in front of other people... but if the s/e's are really bad, I may tell my coworkers at work (it's a small office).

4 - What does your SO do to support you?  He's awesome.  He cooks me dinner if I'm down, gives me back rubs and foot massages...  he's a great guy.

Update: I started stims on Saturday so I am on day 3. Ultrasound to check on everything is tomorrow!

1. I would not mind at all if you did the check-ins while doing IUI! Thank you for all the hard work you do to keep this going!!

2. I am open with my close friends, my family and DH's family. DH really wanted us to be more open than I did, so we came pretty far out of the closet, but not all the way.

3. I share details of my cycle with anyone who knows who wants details.

4. The best thing DH has been doing lately is making me laugh while I am giving myself my shots. I know it sounds counter-productive, but it keeps my mind off of the burning, especially with the menopur. He will do anything I ask him to do when I need it. If I tell him my stomach is upset, he is off in a heartbeat to go get me Ginger ale!

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with? My blog.  I have not shared it with family, its more for me.  Two friends have found it though, so they know as much as I post on there. 

4 - What does your SO do to support you?DH is very reassuring.  And frankly, he puts up with a LOT of my hormonal BS, which I am very grateful for.

Update: I was hoping to cycle in Dec, but unfornately we can't do long lupron and cycle in Dec since they shut down the lab in late Dec.  So we will be doing IVF #4 in Jan!  I have a saline sonogram scheduled next Monday and I hope everything looks good in there.

QOTW: bella, I don't think it is weird at all if you do IUI again.  Unless, you don't want to do the IVF check-in, then that is totally up to you.

My immediate family knows we are doing IVF and afew friends.  I don't really share the details of what meds we are doing and when with anyone except you lovely bump ladies.  Dh supports me by letting me cry when I need to cry and whine when I need to whine.

Close family and friends. I confided in my boss though due to my missing a lot of work.

Previously close friends and fmily knew but we are keeping mum this cycle. Plus I have a friend who constantly asks for status updates and adds extra stress.

4 - What does your SO do to support you?

He picks up around the house, cares for the cats and waits on me

He stands by & is ready for whatever mood may strike which doesn't phase him in the least - he knows it is all hormonal so he forgives me He will boost my spirits when they are down, will make me laugh when I feel sad & is a really good listener & knows just what to say to make me feel better.

Update: Started lupron tonight and the injection was a piece of cake... even less painful/annoying than the IUI triggers! I hope this trend continues. QOTW:  A few questions this week.

What does you doing an IUI have to do with an IVF check-in?2 - Who are you open with about your IF? Everyone! We've let people in on it over the months, sonow the cat is definitely out of the bag. I've been really surprised and happy with the support we've gotten from some unexpected sources.3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with? My twin sister, SIL who did IVF, and my oldest friend who will be cycling in January!

4 - What does your SO do to support you? He endures my many moods and emotions, hugs me when I need it and laughs with me to keep me sane. I would never have imagined us being even closer and stronger as a couple, but IF has given us that, so I am thankful.

Most of my close family and friends know about it. I tend to keep my TTC under wraps with work friends/colleagues.3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with? I shared the details up until ET with my family and close friends. The only people who know about my +hpt are my husband and one of my sisters (who I swore to secrecy), and well, all of you!

4 - What does your SO do to support you? He feeds me delicious meals, takes care of me after my procedures, and keeps a pretty even keel when I am freaking out.

4 - What does your SO do to support you?  He really does so much for me... letting me pick what we eat, giving me hugs, and I'd say the latest is indulging me in planning a trip for the end of the month. He was nervous about flying, but I wanted to have something that we can look forward to if this isn't a success... and if it is we'll have our own little corner of the world to celebrate.

Update: Still on BCP....absolutely DREADING it, feeling like crap, headaches, etc. Cant wait to be done...prelim bloodwork is scheduled for Nov 14.

2 - Who are you open with about your IF? Our infertility we are open with everyone....I post things on facebook, to start lifting the taboo of IF itself and to raise awareness. I share my story with who wants to listen or who asks...I dont come out with it unless I am prompted when having a conversation with someone. 

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with? This cycle besides the ladies on the board and my clinics page, my mom knows and one other friend. With my 4IUI's and last IVF I was very open - shared step by step because everyone was supportive and I loved that, I needed that and I shared our cycle story with close friends and a couple of my cousins. For our IVF we got a positive beta so we told everyone. I was pretty confident the first day and then the second day I was feeling good about it...then we had our second beta and it had dropped. Sharing the negative news that it was over was more devastating then getting a negative beta the first time around. So i decided that I wouldn't be as candid the second IVF. DH and I will share the good news when we have it and keep the bad news to ourselves -- we will eventually tell his mom and our brothers but for now I'd rather keep it how it is. I cant go through that again....here is to hoping that I dont have to!

4 - What does your SO do to support you? DH is a pretty amazing guy....he listens, he helps when I need it, he lets me act like a complete b sometimes and when anyone asks when we are going to have another baby he always answers we are working on it and I find that helps me out a lot so I dont have to dive into any more information....noone seems to ask more questions when he answers but for some reason when I say we are working it i have to field 7,000 questions. Of which I dont mind and this is when I start sharing about our IF.  He helps mix meds and gives me my trigger shot when he is home.  He is very optimistic which in my dark days is helpful. He makes me see the light and I need that sometimes.  I also know how badly he wants it and it makes me want to do it more.

Update: Hopefully having a day 5 transfer tomorrow (11/8) or day 6 transfer on Thursday. I am really anxious whether any of my embies will make it to blast. Potential beta would be 11/21-ish.

We are almost done with our latest break. It looks like we are going to do our third and last IVF in December (as long as AF shows on time). I am pretty excited to get things going again. We also sent in the initial paper work to an adoption agency so no matter what we are on the road to being parents!

2 - Who are you open with about your IF? Pretty much everyone. We are out about it on Facebook, people at work know more or less what is going one.

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with? We only tell my bosses, our families, and my best friend when we are actually cycling. I just don't want to deal with the questions from everyone about how our cycle is going.

4 - What does your SO do to support you? He is just there for me. He isn't a big grande gestures kind of guy, but he takes on more chores around the house, and he tries to take care of me a little more. He also does most of the PIO shots.

Update: I am going to call my RE today and schedule my SHG. DH is getting his final SA done this week that will determine whether or not he started to produce sperm again ( I am SOOO nervous). These tests will tell us if we indeed will do IVF in January.

Update: Still waiting.  We arranged with our clinic to be able to start now on my next cycle.  AF should arrive at the end of November so BCP will start then.  If it gets delayed again I will just give up.

With this IVF, we only told our parents, my bestfriend and my boss and my employees (because of me missing work... if I didn't have to miss work I wouldn't discuss it with anyone at my job).  What does your SO do to support you? We talk about EVERYTHING including our fears. He goes to every appt with me and holds my hand. During this IVF he waited on me hand and foot

UPDATE: Yesterday we had our 3dt. We transfered 2 eight cell zero frag embryos. Beta scheduled for 11/21. Only the day after the transfer and I am already going crazy LOL Going to try and focus on Christmas gifts during the 2ww to keep me distracted.

My history is in my siggy. Ist IVF cancelled only 1 follie at 12 and the other 5 remained under 10 after 10 nights of stims. Trying to stay hopeful for that cycle with the 1 perfect egg

update - CD 6 - blood work and u/s yesterday, 5 follies under 10 didnt change from CD3 and start of stims, 1 left over at 17 that I need to go away and unfortunatley my E2 dropped a bit instead of going up. Continuing with injections and I go back Thursday.

I am doing good, just frustrated with my RE office right now, trying to get my beta moved up and they are not calling me back, this is day 2 of calling with no one calling me back.  I am sure I am one of "those" patients.  Oh well.

Our immediate family, some close friends, and some people at our church know about our IF.  The circle seems to grow a little more over time, but we are not fully out in the open about it.

3 - When you cycle, who do you share the details with?

We had a group of about 8-10 people who we shared updates with.  It included my parents, DH's parents, our siblings, some close friends, and our pastor.

4 - What does your SO do to support you?

He's always held my hand throughout, literally and figuratively.  He HATES needles, but he will give me my shots if I ask him.  During my last cycle I spotted and started freaking out (even though I know that can be normal).  DH called up my friend and asked her to take me out to get my mind off of things.  He was working.  He just gets what I need when I need it.

Update:  We are still on an ART break, as you all know from my question below that going back to IUIs is on my mind, not only is it a $ saver for us, as we are OOP for IUI/IVF, we would also try DS too....once both of us get on the same page (Dh is ok with it, me i'm on the fence).

I'm open about it with a few close friends and MIL.  Most of my family also knows, but don't understand the full extent of it.  If it had been up to me, they wouldn't know anything at all.

He goes to appointments with me and also deals with all of the financial stuff so I don't have to worry about it.  He draws up all of my meds and gives me the PIO shots.  He takes care of me, makes me laugh, and will do anything to keep my spirits up.

2. Other than this board, not many people knew what was going on... DH didn't want any of our friends to know, I guess b/c of how he thought they would think of him (he's azoo)... However, we did tell my best friend b/c we needed her to be with us during our ER & epididymal yesterday. Other than that, my mom secretly knows...as well as a few people at work b/c we had to switch around my schedule at the last minute b/c of an early trigger.

3. No one except you guys... I don't know anyone else that has had any IF issues.

A few friends and close family.  For years of trying I never told anyone, but once we started with the RE I started telling a few more people.  The support has been wonderful... but there is still only a small group I would share it with.

This group ;-)  Also on my blog, but it's mainly for me like a PP said, and I don't promote it.  Some of the small group that know about our IF read the blog, or I update them if they ask.

4 - What does your SO do to support you?

He does all of my shots and goes to all of the appts that he can.  He takes wonderful care of me after procedures, and gives me my Pom juice in my wine glass when I'm stimming.    He seems to know pretty well when to push me to be tough, and when to be gentle with me.  I do think this crazy IF journey has made us closer, and I'm grateful for that...!
