Parenting after a Loss

I don't know what to do...

I have a severe sharp stabbing pain on my right side that comes and goes.  Dr. G makes me think appendix or gallbladder.  It's pretty high up, at or above the navel line.  It only happens once or twice a day, but the pain brings me to my knees and I almost drop Isaac if I'm hoplding him.  It's been going on for about a week and a half.

I need to either go to my regular Dr or the ER.  I am sitting here thinking of all the things I would need to do in case it IS something I'd need surgery for.  Wash bottles, shave my legs, pick up the house, etc.  So, I keep procrastinating getting myself looked at.  Every time there is something wrong physically with me (i.e. losing the twins and almost losing Isaac) my house is a disaster and I end up in the hospital for a week. I feel like at least since it's not URGENT yet, I can give myself some time to prepare ahead for something like this.

I'm at a loss.  WWYD?  My brain hurts....  TBH, I'm kind of waiting for the next episode as the final straw that will force me to go in (probably to the ER once DH gets home).  Why does this *** happen to me?

ETA: And of course Isaac WILL NOT SLEEP to give me a break and let me think!  He's currently squealing and babbling in his bed.

  • Go to the doctor. Once you know what may be causing the pain, then you can worry about getting stuff together. Who cares if the house is a mess and you need to shave your legs. Don't wait until you need to go to the ER.

  • Go to the doctor. It could be something minor that can be fixed easily. Either way you need to take care of yourself. Sorry hope it is nothing and they fix you right up.

  • Ditto what everyone else has said.

    Go in.

It could be something easily remedied, in which case you'll be happy you don't have to suffer needlessly...or it could be something serious that waiting will just make things worse.  Better to face it head on and be done with it than worry yourself.

FX it ends up being no biggie and you're feeling better ASAP.
