Our Irish Wolfhound, Soren, has been behaving really oddly during my pregnancy to the point where we brought in an animal behaviorist and he seemed to be responding to what she told us to do. Last night though, I was sitting on the couch with him and my schnauzer, tried to jump on the couch too, but the IWh tried to attack him, so I put my arm up to keep them separated and Soren bit me. It was a nip, but it broke the skin I washed it out with Saline, put Bacitracin on, and bandaged it up. I noticed just now when I went to change the Band-aids that the bite is very red and swollen around the site and hurts to the touch. Should I bother calling my OB? Or just keep cleaning it?
ETA: He's UTD on all his shots

I would call your OB just for piece of mind, but I'm sure you're fine if he is UTD on all his shots. Try some Neosporin or Bacitracin on the wound with a bandaid over it. Good luck!
I was bit by a neighbor's dog (defending my dogs) about 3 weeks before DS was born. I was hysterical and my heart was racing, but my major concern was the bite. I called the OB and the doctor on call had never dealt with it before and really had no advice. She said not to worry about it unless it got infected and just to make sure I was calm.
So if you call any doctor, call the GP.
We also had some issues (no biting, just snapping) with our dogs during my 1st pregnancy and brought in a dog behaviorist. We found out about a medical issue with our little dog that none of the vets had ever raised with us. If your behaviorist didn't already do so, you should make sure both of your dogs are fully healthy and have their bloodwork done. You want to be comfortable with them before LO is born and make sure everyone is healthy. Our little dog actually passed away from this medical issue 3 months after DS was born (which was very difficult), but the vitamins the behaviorist gave us helped prolong her time with us.
Good luck!
Just out of curiosity, what was the medical issue your dog had?
I was actually bit by a strangers dog, on the leg, when I was three week pregnant (and didn't know yet). It was quite the bite (TMI, I know) with three puncture wounds and some fatty tissue came out. So, needless to say, we went off to the nearest express care immediately.
The biggest thing they were concerned with was when my last tetanus shot was. Not knowing 100%, I opted to get the booster. It is perfectly fine to get while pregnant and it's better to be safe than sorry.
They then cleaned the bite throughly and applied a thin layer of antibiotic. They gave me strict orders to not use the ointment for more than 3 or 4 days since it is so commonly over used by the general public.
They then asked if I wanted the antibiotic shot to prevent infection. Knowing that we were trying to get pregnant and that my DH and I were responsible enough to watch it carefully and follow medical direction, we opted out of the shot. And the doctor was 100% ok with that choice. She did tell us that we just had to watch it carefully and if we thought it might be infected then go back.
That was towards the end of August. I was back there about two weeks later (and after we figured out we were PG) after a killer bout of all day sickness to get pumped up with fluids. I had the same doctor and she took a look and said it was doing fine. For me, the biggest thing was knowing that it was healing even though it looks insane and I had a hole in my leg from the worst puncture for quite a while I still have three pretty dark dings on my leg and the biggest still has a scab on it (over 2 months later). The deep tissue bruise has almost gone away and I only really notice it if I push on it or bump it.
Good luck! It is scary, but just watch it carefully and you'll be fine.
As way of background, my dog was a maltese and she was eight years old. The behaviorist found that she had elevated liver enzymes in her blood that indicated that her liver wasn't functioning very well. That impacted her digestion (basically making her very hungry) and led to food aggression. She would snap at our larger dog (who was 5x bigger) and we thought nothing of it, but when he finally snapped back at her, we freaked. Turn out that snapping back at a little dog who always snaps at you is pretty normal and to be expected.
The behaviorist put her on two vitamins to help her liver and she improved and was very happy for about 7 months. After DS was born we took advantage of my maternity leave and DH's summer break and went on a long trip to visit family and while we were away we ran out of her vitamins. I don't know if it was because she missed a few days or that the vitamins just delayed the inevitable, but a few weeks later her liver started to give out. She became lethargic and bloated and passed away a week later.
It was awful. I still miss her everyday.
