hiding veggies

I have read before where some people will puree veggies and hide them in sauces. What kind of veggies do you use and what sauces? I need to try this at my house and I am not sure what types of veggies would taste ok.

Thanks,

Re: hiding veggies

  • I'm still a picky eater, so my Mom is constantly giving me tips on how to hide veggies in DD's food, even though she's a pretty good eater. It can't hurt!

Spinach can be chopped up and hidden in tons of stuff, like smoothies, eggs, and tomato pasta sauce.

Mashed cauliflower (done the same way as mashed potatoes) is easily added to scrambled eggs. Sauteed/pureed onion, mashed carrots, and finely chopped broccoli or zucchini are all easily added to tomato pasta sauce.

Spaghetti recipe (Take this simple, simple idea and run with that. You can use all kinds of veggies).
