Big weekend

Wow. What a weekend! DH was out of town from Friday-Sunday, so I was on my own with LO for the first time. It went great, but I am exhausted!

But over the weekend, both of LO's top teeth cut through, finally. I can't believe it took this long - they've been bulging under the gums for weeks. Hopefully he'll now be a little happier, and maybe, just maybe the 9 month sleep regression will come to a close.

And his babbling has just exploded. I am now starting to listen to see if he is making any sounds consistently. He is also starting to mimic sounds more - when we were out in downtown Silver Spring yesterday, I said something to him about watching the big kids (his favorite thing to do), and he said "beh keh" back to me. Of course, he won't do that with mama or dada :-)

Isn't it exciting?  DS has been mimicking words as well.  It's strange to listen to him babbling and then some big words come out.  It's taken me aback a few times.  You'll get actual words soon.  DS says Mama and Bye (with a little hand wave).  The vocab explosion is amazing.  I remember it well from DD.  Yay for milestones! And congrats on surviving single mommyhood.  That's me this week.  It's no fun.  I'm jealous of all the teeth, we still don't have any.  I love DSs gummy smile, but I am just nervous they will all pop out at once..

I know exactly what you mean. I remember my first weekend alone with DS and I was so tired by the end of the weekend!

I haven't had to do a full weekend alone yet! Good job! DD has no teeth yet and I just had lunch with a mom over the weekend who has a 1 year old with no teeth! Crazy.
