Violet Marie?

Thoughts? That is the girl name DH have thought of We are beginning on a boy name this week.Our last name is the name in my sc...we have to be careful because of the G last name...to make sure the mn doesn't make for a funny set of initials....Any suggestions in middle names? I feel like Marie is a filler... : /TIA.

I have no problems with Marie. I don't put too much stock in all of the "filler middle name horror". It's not a big deal. The names sound good together.

I love Violet! (I have a strong family connection to it).

Marie always feels like a filler to me unless there is a family connection. Do you have any family names that you could consider?

My sister stole the gm's names...lol. Mom's mn is named after her mom, and my sis named her dd with the name!

I love Violet, and Violet Marie is very feminine and pretty.

I agree with PP. I think the "filler middle name" thing is a little silly. Just because it's a popular middle name that makes it a filler?! If you love the name, who cares? If someone names their daughter Isabella, should we say she has a "filler" first name because it's such a popular name? Goofy.

DD's middle name is Grace, which is supposedly one of those "fillers." But we didn't choose it because we couldn't think of anything else. In fact, we had a long list of alternatives. We just chose it because we thought it sounded so pretty, liked the flow of the two names together, and liked how it made Marin (which is not a super girly name, IMO) sound softer.
