When to lower crib mattress?

S is starting to get up on her knees and rock back and forth, as well as her pushing her upper body up which she's done for a couple of months. I was wondering when we're supposed to lower the crib mattress? We haven't lowered it since she's been born, so it's on the top setting. We have the Bonavita (I believe same crib as Char) if that helps.

I would do it now. Better to do it a little too soon than late.

We moved our down when he could sit up and again when he could stand up.  I'd probably go ahead and move your down now.

When DD started sitting we dropped it to the middle setting. When DD started standing we dropped it the lowest setting.

If you're questioning it, you might as well trust your gut and do it now.  The week after we lowered the crib to the lowest setting, DS pulled himself to standing for the first time.

we lowered the crib as soon as E could get to sitting on her own and we lowered it to the lowest setting right away bc we didn't want to bother with doing it again.
