VBAC

Breech Butter Bean... out of room (repost from 3rd tri.)

I feel like I have a watermelon in my belly that wants to explode.... DS #1 was footling breech until 37 weeks... still ended in c-section after full induction and dilation due to him getting stuck and his head swelling. Sooo I was hoping for the miraculous unlikely VBAC this time. I would really like for him to turn... SOON! His feet are in my left hip and his body in the right. I think his head is towards my lungs, because I don't have any pressure in my pelvis. Do you think there is any hope or suggestions to get my big little bean to move? I feel that I am running behind in the time line before my scheduled c-section on 11/28 to get pressure and dilation that I need to make a VBAC possible.

  • Have you seen a chiropractor? Have you visited www.spinningbabies.com? I hope he turns soon! Also, hypnobabies has a track for breech babies that might be worth listening to every day.

  • DS #2 was breech as well.  I had an external version done at 37 weeks and it was successful.  It was painful, but only lasted 5 or so minutes.  I tried all the other tricks to get him to turn and it didn't work, but my OB thought it was worth a shot to turn him and it worked!  She was so supportive of my VBAC (even though I didn't get one...)

  • They can do an internal version as well.  Also i would look into a doctor that will deliver breech! There are 3 different kinds of breech.  If babys head in tucked in, then it is something to consider.  I was going to try it but my daughter was looking straight up.
