My brother's name is CAL-um (Cal like California, as the pp said). We had never heard it before and go figure, there's another Callum in his grade, so they ended up being Callum G. and Callum D. Boo.
While I like the name Callum, I think Charlotte, Liam, and Callum is too matchy. It's like you smooshed your first 2 kids' names to come up with a third.

I would say Cal (like the beginning of California)- um. Cal-um. I think if you were saying it conversationally it would sound more like Cal-em though. I think it goes really well with Charlotte and Liam.
Re: How do you pronounce Callum?

DD's name is Charlotte, and Callum was going to be LO's name if it was a boy. Alas, we're having another girl, so we're not having a Callum.
My DH is English, and it's a common name in England. It's pronounced CAL-um.
