I was watching the news this morning, and the latest buzz is that Kate Middleton avoided eating peanut butter, so that must mean she's pregnant.
Wait... what?
My OB has always told me that was nonsense. I've eaten PB every single day while pregnant with both kids and neither has a nut allergy.
Do you avoid peanuts?
Re: Peanuts? Really?
You rock--I love a good pun...
I am missing something, why are we supposed to avoid peanut products?
When I need a quick snack when I am in a rush I eat a scoop of peanut butter out of the jar.
Sorry I skipped the line about a nut allergy.
I think that is boloney unless you are prone to food allergies.
Maybe peanut butter is too high in fat for her since she must keep an eye on such things being so thin....
And peanuts - and their butter - are I think my favorite food of all time... there's no way I'm living with out... Sorry!
Poor Kate just can't catch a break.
I haven't been avoiding PB and don't plan to.
Nope I don't avoid peanuts at all. I love me some peanut butter.
The news also said something about her not drinking champagne, but rather a "clear liquid" that's most likely "water". If she is pregnant and doesn't want people to know about it, she's doing a lousy job. At least hold the champagne glass around the room!

Totally. When we go out I just order a drink and swap with DH when he is done and fake sip it.
You only have to avoid peanut products after 18 weeks if either you or your spouse have an allergy. My brother has a severe peanut allergy so my SIL had to stop all peanut products at 18 weeks to prevent the allergy being passed to their twins. I asked my OB and she said I will be fine because I don't have the allergy.
As for Kate ~ when will they leave her alone!?
Before all the pregnancy rumors started, I saw the news report about she and William, and the prince and princess of Denmark going to that Unicef facility. I did notice that she didn't take any of the paste, while the other three did, but my thoughts immediately went to how thin she is. My first thought was, "Oh, I hope she didn't refrain because she is afraid a drop of nutrition paste is going to make her fat!"
And I guess if she does have allergies in her family (which is entirely possibly), she might be avoiding it. And the whole champagne thing? If she did carry around a glass of champagne and is actually pregnant, rumors would have circulated that she was drinking during pregnancy when she does announce.
At any rate, I think it's awful how she is being scrutinized by the media for getting pregnant. Their wedding was like 10 minutes ago! They're still fairly young--there's plenty of time for kids. It's like that annoying aunt/grandma/MIL asking, "So, when are you going to have kids" every.single.time you see them, but 1 million times worse. Poor girl!
