Purchase made!

So I just purchased a couple Flips and some FB inserts! I got a great deal on diapers.com since this was my first purchase...this was my first CD purchase too! My DH is so leary about this we actually got into an argument last night. He thinks CDing will be way too much work...I decided on the Flip system and just inquired about some AIOs on craigslist (sunbaby) to try some of the more simple CDs. So...I know I need to strip or prepare my inserts when they arrive. What is the best way to do this? I will have 4 flip and 12 FB inserts. What type of detergent will I need? I dont want to 'invest' in the special detergent just yet and I have watched YouTube videos and seen different methods.

I(and some of my fellow cding friends) use all free and clear, no problems! There isnt any need to invest in any special detergent unless you want to! Good luck and welcome to an addiction! !

When you say 12 FB inserts, what do you mean exactly? Are they MF? Were you planning on using them w/your Flip covers or did you buy Flip sets w/their inserts? I'm only asking b/c I don't think you cam use the standard FB inserts in the Flips, against baby's skin. If everything you bought was MF or stay-dry, one regular wash and dry will have th prepped. Natural fibers (cotton, bamboo, hemp) like the Flip organics or prefolds require 4-5 washes and drying in between before they're prepped.
