When did AF come back? My guys are 13+ months and I still haven't had a period. It is kind of freaking me out.

I BFd my youngest until he was just past 2, and got AF very mildly starting around month 12 or 13.  I have a few friends who nursed longer or about as pong and it seems everyone is different, some got AF right away, one gal didn't until she stopped nursing.  These were all with singletons, so I imagine you might go a little longer!  I found it started right when he started actually eating more food food and I also had a good stash so quit pumping.  It was weird but definitely nice to not deal with it too!

It came back at 6 months.  I just have to whine that it came back way too soon.

I Started weaning from 4/5 nursing sessions a day to 3 around 9.5 months and at 10 months AF returned.  Since then I had gone down to 1 bf a day, but in the last month have gone back to 2 sometimes 3 a day (but they are more comfort/righ before bed rather than nutrition)...I'm 2 days late, so we'll see if she shows on time this month.  My boys are 13.5 months old

 

I will say I dont think I ovulated the first few months based on signs and symptoms, so it seems like it's al still working itself out hormonally

Hi! I BF my twins for 18 months and AF showed at 19 months. Crazy long!

So jealous! I BFed til 17months but got AF at 9. I was really bummed.

i'm still bf'ing and still haven't gotten a period. i am also freaked out, and have talked to my gynecologist and primary care doctor, who both said that it is ok to not have a period as long as i'm still nursing. but yeah, i agree it is weird!

I BF'd for 14 months and AF came back very soon after dropping the last feeding, like within that week.

I EPed for a year and it took two months for AF to return. I was a bit freaked out, too!
