Cookies as Favors

Did anyone do cookies as favors to your wedding or a shower? I'd love to pick your brain.

LOVE cookie favors!  I've done for showers and birthday parties.  And by "done them," I mean "bought them" not made them if that's what you are looking for.  :-)  Decorated sugar cookies - usually 1 sometimes 2 in a plastic bag with a ribbon and favor tag.

I'll try and PIP.  Not a great pic of the favors, but they are in the basket in the middle.  This was for a baby shower.

 

This was for my son's 2nd birthday - we did 2 in each bag, dogs and 2s.

My MIL is an amazing baker and has made cookies for a bunch of showers I have been to and a wedding.  She just makes traditional Italian cookies.  They were wrapped in cellophane bags like the photos above.

We did cookie favors for our wedding - it was a square with our monogram iced with our 2 biggest wedding colors and piping around the edge.  Then in a clear bag with a wedding color ribbon.  We got tons of compliments!  And they were soo yummy - a flavored shortbread.  Loved them!

Yes, we had two favors at our wedding---local flavored almonds in bags and cookies.  The cookies were made by MIL and were about the size of an orange with our oak tree logo in chocolate in the center of the cookies.  They were individually "wrapped" in clear bags.

We had Girl Scout Thin Mints as favors at our wedding.  We had little favor boxes (hexagonal, I think) tied with a ribbon.  It worked for us.
