We got pregnant with #2 while not preventing but not exactly trying. No one was more shocked than me when I saw the positive test.
I never used Clomid for #1, but we did use Femara (9 rounds total--IUIs with 6 of those rounds) and 5 gonal-f IUIs. So, 11 total IUIs. Got pregnant but miscarried on IUI #10. I also had two laps (surgery) while trying to get pregnant. DD #1 resulted from our first and only IVF.
So, yeah, it's totally possible to get pregnant without medical assistance despite needing lots of intervention the first time around. We really got lucky, and it was a wonderful surprise to get pregnant easily.

Not my story but my friend's...they got pregnant on month 5 of "trying" for #2 after they used Clomid for the first one (got pregnant on the first Clomid cycle after 13 months of natural trying)
