I drove past a high school today and the sign outside said Congrats to the 2011 Homecoming King and Queen Mahal and Storm.  I thought I saw wrong but drove past again later and yup those are the names.  I did look up Mahal and found it may in fact be an arabic name, but still Storm?

I had two hawaiian girls that were at my HS who had some long hawaiian names. Nobody could pronounce them. Instead they went by the English meanings of the name, Pepper and Storm. We always knew them as that. It was their nicknames. Maybe Storm is a nickname?

There was a weatherman/meteorologist in NYC for a long time named Storm Field.  Apparently his father was a meteorologist as well.  Go figure.

I went to high school with a Stormie and her sister (younger by like 6 years) was Raina. I thought that was pretty awful.

I kinda think that's awesome lol.  There was a dentist in my area named Dr. Blood, don't know his FN, but seriously??  I would have steered clear of anything in the medical field.

When I graduated from college, there was a nursing student graduating with the last name Kevorkian...as in Dr. Kevorkian.  Yikes.  I suddenly wouldn't feel sick anymore if I saw Nurse Kevorkian coming my way at the hospital!  LoL

That's pretty common (the lying to be polite thing) because you don't know what else to say and your facial expression usually gives something away!  It's been said on here:  Listen to what is said in response to your post because we're saying to your face what everyone else will be thinking but too afraid to say later on, for the rest of your child's life."

I have a friend whose husband's name is Storm (Storm Damon), and I also have a female cousin whose middle name is Storm (Kaitlyn Storm).

I think it's fantastic and only wish that my husband would get on board with me.
