so its like a daycare situation ? We left both dc's at daycare when they were 8 weeks cause I had to go back to work. But for some reason I wouldn't do it for a date night. I would try to find family or friend to watch them at home instead.
Yes, it is a daycare type situation though the kids are separated into different classrooms based on age (I'm not sure how many infants there would be). MrsJulie nailed my concerns on the head - her getting sick (though T brings home everything anyways) or us getting called back mid-date (we will be just across the street though - why waste valuable date time driving?). The thought of an evening without babies at a fraction of the cost of a sitter just sounds so nice :-P
For 3 hours and you're just across the street?...hmm...I want to say yes, I would leave LO (who is 10 weeks today). But to be totally honest, last night I hosted Bunco at my house so my H had LO and I was playing with my girlfriends all night, and even with them in the house, I checked on him frequently, ended up soothing him once when he only seemed to want me, and nursed him once too. And that was over 4 hours in our house. So I'd like to say that yes, I'm ready. But based on my experience last night, I don't know that I could.
That said, there is no way that I could count on him sleeping through dinner/date night with my H at this point either. He would very likely be up and in our laps throughout dinner.
Thanks everyone! Baby K will be joining us on our date (and hopefully sleeping through the whole thing:-) It's funny how things change - with T I wouldn't even have considered it...
I'm worried about hosting Bunko in a few months, can't believe you did it with a ten-week-old! Your rock!
I could go either way on this...I have really been craving a date with DH - we've gone out a lot with A, and she's been good, but we end up just staring and her and talking about her. Not that I think that's a bad thing, but it would be nice to have a couple hours to just connect 100% with one another. With that said, I think a lunch time date would be best, since sometimes A is a little fussy in the evenings and it would break my heart to leave her if she wasn't happy. You know your baby best....and it sounds like you already made your decision.

Don't know if that makes any sense
