NN for McKinley?

I'm not asking if you like the name... I need nick name ideas...

Kinsley, Kinney? Mickey? Lee?

Re: NN for McKinley?

  • Is this for a boy or a girl? (not being snarky, just really can't tell)
  • Just use some endearing NN and add "Mc" to the front.

McKiddo, McBuddy, McCutie, McBumblebee...you get the idea.

  • Why must there be a nickname? If it seems too long or strained, then maybe it's not the right name and you should just go with something like Kinley?

  • Umm...back on topic to what you actually asked, since everyone didn't seem to notice that you didn't ask for their opinion on the name...I'm assuming it's a girl's name because I've only heard it used as a girl's name and Kinley was the most common nn I believe.

    William?

    Mount?

    Mr. President?

    these are my favorites!

  • I think NNs should come organically and should be more about personality than just another name you are picking for your child.  That said tho I would never pick a name that had a very obvious NN I didn't like- ex.  I Love Donovan but was afraid people would call him Donny

    this.

  • I was thinking about using the name Mckinley, but when I tried to come up with the possible nn's I was at a loss so we decided to go with Kinley instead. Since it has one less syllable it doesnt really need a nickname. I do know of a 3 year old Kinley and her mom calls her Kins for short (when she is calling her or asking for something etc.)
