My little sharer

So I am cooking dinner and DS1 is eating raisins as a snack.  I here him say, "Here Aiden."  I turn around to see him sharing his raisins with DS2.  I run over just in time to stop him.  Anyone have any ideas on how to get your little sharer to understand that he cant share food with his little brother yet?  I keep telling him that DS2 doesnt have any teeth to eat but thats not working.

  •  I think it's really cute when they share like that. : ) I just say, little brother isn't big enough yet but it's nice you want to share. Not that it works. But hopefully he will understand soon

  • My 21 month old is constantly trying to share her almond milk with her 5 month old sister.  I have not found a way to stop her.  It is awfully cute and the baby smiles and licks her lips when the straw gets in her mouth.  LOL

  • I always tell DS "the baby is too little", or "its great that your sharing, just let mommy/daddy know first before you feed the baby"....which usually results in me telling him that the baby can't have X because she is too little and she can choke.

I find with DS, if he knows that he can't so something, it's what he constantly what he wants to do (what toddler doesn't!).  He now asks every time if the baby can share his food.  It all started when he fed her popcorn and DH found he almost choking on it.  It seems to be working so far.
