Other than Ikea and Craigslist/thrift stores: Where did you buy your kids bedroom furniture? I want to get a new set for Walter and trying to convince DH it's not as much $$$ as he thinks it's going to be. Thanks!

JCPenney.com Beautiful, great prices, and great quality. If you watch you can buy it when they have a 20% or 25% off code and free shipping for the best deal.
Our crib and dresser would have originally been $1148.00 plus shipping and with sales, additional % off and free shipping we only paid $678.40 with free shipping. I was not sure what to expect because with JC Penney?s you are ordering sight unseen, I was very impressed when our set arrived. If you are looking to spend less they have sets that start at $169.00 before the additional % off and dressers starting at $199.00.
COSTCO! They usually come out with kids furniture (well, all furniture) just after Christmas. I too want a new bed set for Audrey..a twin trundle..but DH insists we use her crib/ 4 in one and go the full size route.
Hence also why i went with a cheaper crib for R...so I CAN get him nice furniture when the time comes.
Granted we bought the crib/convertible, long combo unit (long low dresser), hutch for on top of combo once we didn't need the changer anymore, and dresser as a set at USA Baby which is now Cribs to Bunks in Southcenter. They also had some big kid furniture the last time I was in there.
Jake's crib is a convertible from PBK and his dresser is from Ikea.
