Q for those who used a birth photographer

what did you end up doing with the photos?

our photographer made us an amazing slideshow and i plan to include several of the pictures in the babybook and in the regular photoalbum i make for the girls. but im not sure if i should make a shutterfly book or album in addition to that. is that overkill? i would just love a little book for me to flip through to remember our day. but it's going to be just like the slideshow if i do. just curious what others do.

  • I made a tiny blurb book.  I generally don't keep it on the coffee table or anything (well, depending on our guests :P) but I like having it to look through when I'm feeling sentimental.

  • I don't think it would be overkill to make a shutterfly book out of it.  If you think you'd like to be able to flip through the photos now and again, I think that a little book would be perfect!

  • This may sound a bit bizarre, but my DH has an edited version on his iPad and shows people all the time. ::gasp::. I haven't even looked at it again since the first time. My dh is a bit crazy and loves to talk about birth, though. go figure.
  • I think that you should get an image box(have you seen these?) made with a photo cover that also has a spot for your cd then house your 5x7 prints inside it. Depending upon how many images you have, you could also mount your prints to make them extra fancy. With the image box, it's so discrete that you could store and anywhere and then pass it on to B when she is older.
  • I think a shutterfly book sounds good. You want something to hold, you're not always going to want to be on the computer to look at the slide show

    Yes

I'd recommend an image box or a spiral proof book.
