I am needing to find a way to carry DS for an event we're having to attend next weekend. I already have my DDs in a double stroller (which DH will be pushing) but can only imagine how overcrowded we'd make it if I brought the Snap n Go for DS.
Was anyone able to comfortably wear a Moby at about 1 month post c/s? I'd love to hear any feedback about this type of sling!
Also, if you did use a Moby, how long approx. could you wear your LO without any discomfort? Was there a special way you wore the Moby to avoid the incision area?
TIA!!
Re: Anyone use a Moby before 6 wks pp?
4.5 weeks PP...it was fine!
It was better for me than lugging her around and I'd torn internal stitches at around 3 weeks PP. Wearing her more evenly distributed her weight and I just tied the belt a little higher.
We travelled out of town for a wedding at 2 weeks pp. I purposely started practicing with the Moby at about 1 week, because that's pretty much how we survived the wedding, reception, and all sorts of wedding related events + beach/playground time with my toddler. It wasn't uncomfortable at all, and he seriously lived in it for the long weekend, spending hours in it in between nursing.
Used the Moby until DS was about 12 lbs, when it started to become a bit tiring on by back. Since then, I switched to a woven wrap which is far more supportive, and I can wear him all afternoon without an issue.
