Have you lost the baby weight yet?

I still have about 15 pounds to go. I've tried off and on to loose it, but this time, I'm serious. X-mas is coming up and my husband has three sisters who will be looking to see if I've lost the "baby weight." 

Am I alone here or is anyone else finding it hard to lose the weight?

  • I'm only a few pounds above pp weight, but everything is different now. I feel like I look a lot heavier even though its only a few pounds :(

  • I lost it within 2 weeks (I was extremely sick), then gained some back because I eat like a pig.  But i agree with PP, the weight looks a lot different than it did before being pregnant.  It seems bigger.

  • I'm technically 5 lbs less than pp weight, but all of my clothes are still snug and I feel really flabby. I had to buy all longer shirts to hide the mess that is now my midsection. I refuse to buy all new pants though so I guess I'll just keep feeling bad about myself in my size 6s until they look better again (which my mom says won't ever really happen) Sad   

    I plan on training for a marathon in the spring so if that doesn't do it, I'm just going to get knocked up again! At least my pants will be comfy then!

  • I have 15 more to go and I can't seem to get rid of it. I just joined the gym and plan to start working out. Going on vacation in Jan and need to be able to fit in my summer clothes...

  • I was 5lbs. away from my original weight, but it looked and felt very different and far more than just 5lbs. Now I'm gaining all the baby weight back for DS's little brother!

  • I am 5 lbs from PP weight, but I was already about 12 pounds heavier than I needed to be b/c I was depressed from my miscarriage so I ate and ate. So really I need to lose about 15ish pounds. My ticker says different but I was doing really well then I started my period and I've been eating like an insane woman.

  • I still have about 30 lbs to lose - but it's all my fault. I really haven't worked hard to lose any of it. I've also been laid off since the end of May - and I find is so hard to control myself at home because I am a big grazer. Luckily, I just got a job, so hopefully I can get myself together, and focus to lose the weight :)

     

    ETA: I gained 60 during the pregnancy - so I did lose some of it in the beginning.

  • I lost it within a week, but I had only gained 20 lbs. However between my hips getting wider and then my chest larger from breastfeeding not much fit the same for awhile. Even though I am at my pre pregnancy weight I would like to loose about 30lbs before I consider getting pregnant again in a couple years.

  • Finally just lost the last 5 lbs in the last few weeks. I gained a little over 30 this time with baby #3. My belly is still super flabby though:(

  • I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight (with Caroline; I'm still about 5 pounds over where I was when I got pregnant with Kate) but I don't look good and my clothes still don't fit. I'm doing WW and hoping to drop another 20 pounds.

  • Gained 73 lost a little over 50. Still have 15-20 to go and it is not budging. I however am in a super stressful job and stopped working out. I need to get on it before baby #2. However, I did recently find out I gained so much weight from all the albuterol I had to take when pregnant due to asthma. Turns out I am highly steroid sensitive. It also gave me cataracts, surgery to come!

  • Not yet. As of this morning I have 12 lbs to go. I'm hoping to get rid of most of it before the New Year
  • I agree with prior posts as well.  I lost all of my baby weight within 2 weeks as well.  I am thoroughly convinced that I was full of water and that all of the weight was trapped in my legs.  I am down about 10lbs pre-pregnancy, but being overweight I have a lot more that I would like to loose.

  • I lost weight while I was pregnant.  Ended up 40 lbs lighter than I was pre-pregnancy.  Unfortunately, I've gained about 25 of it back already.

    I'm a mess.  I eat when I'm stressed & lonely.  Having a baby has made me stressed & lonely.  Oh - and I also used to workout all the time, but I'm having a hard time getting back into a routine with that.  Not sure wtf I'm gonna do.

  • I've got 3 lbs to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight but I am feeling pretty darn good since I gained a ton of weight during my pregnancy.  I can't remember the exact number but it was somewhere around 60 lbs!  Surprise  Yikes!

  • My full story...

    Gained about 15 before pregnancy, THEN gained 55 during pregnancy (!!!), then finally joined Jenny Craig seven weeks ago.  Since then, I've lost 15 pounds, and I have thirty pounds to go before I reach my goal weight (where I was before I started this baby journey).

    I feel flabbier than I was before baby, so I plan to join our local rec center (which offers child care) so I can work out while DD plays.

  • I'm new to this board so I hope it's okay to jump right in and start posting.

    I gained 35 pounds with my last pg and lost about 23 pounds within the first 3 weeks. The remaining 12 pounds took 6 months to lose. I think going back to work full-time was what did the trick for me, as I was already watching what I ate and exercising.

  • I'm close.  I'm about 6 lbs heavier than I was at my first OB appt.  But my clothes don't fit the same and my belly looks flabby.  Not sure those things will ever get back to "normal."  We're probably having another one or two babies so I'm not too worried about it.

  •  I gained 55lbs during pregnancy and quitting smoking. I still have 30lbs to lose to get to my pp weight - but because I no longer smoke I think I'm likely to keep an extra 10 on. So 20lbs to go. Ahhhhhhhhh!
  • My weight befor i found out i was prego was 107 i gained 40lbs my son is 11 months old and ive only lost 10 pounds. :( I've tried everything to lose the weight but it just wont come off. Im now seeing a diet doctor and taking meds so i hope to lose the rest by summer. But im not getting my hopes up.
