WTF - neighbor girl

So, long story short...

We have a neighbor across the street that has a almost 7 year old daughter.  I absolutely hate letting DD play with this girl because she is way too old, bossy, rude, parents are never around, etc.  I could go on and on about this girl and her parents.  So about 10 minutes ago the girl knocks on the door and I let DD go outside with her - I am outside with them.

 Me: Wow, you are home from school early today.

Girl: I wasn't allowed to go to school today.

Me: Why

Girl: I have dead lice bugs in my hair.

 

WTF!!!  You are just going to let your kid go over to someone else's house when they have LICE!!! 

Needless to say we came inside right away, but my head is already itching!

    Ugh. I feel like these are the situations that I'm really going to have practice self control because I would feel like marching that girl home and asking her parents what they hell they are doing. Seriously.

    I really thought about that, but then decided that I didn't want to be that close to her!  When DH gets home I think I am going to walk across the street and talk to her mom.

    I would definitely talk to the mom (might want to get her number to avoid infestation).  Lice is one thing that I am SO scared of showing up in my house.  Gross, gross, gross.
