My Intro.

Hello Ladies, I am so happy I found this board. I am expecting twins in May, and I am so nervous and excited at the same time, I've been lurking on this board but just wanted to say hello sence I am so close to 12 weeks.

I had no clue twins even ran in my family, I never thought I would ever have twins, but we are blessed and so excited. I had to call my grandparents to ask if there are twins in their families, and I found out that the last twins known was my great great grandmother. Crazy eh? I found out that for me to conceive twins natural and at my age (22) is very rare.. especially because there are no twins for many generations. Our twins are fraternal so I had 2 eggs drop the same month

I'm excited to have this board to go to when I need input and advice.

Hi and congrats!

I am due in May, too. Looks like we are close in weeks/days along. 

I just found out a few days ago too, and had zero reason to even suspect twins.  It was and still is a complete surprise.

Congrats! How do you know they are fraternal? Even if they have two placenta's/sacs they can still be ID (1 in 9 chance, and I was 1 in 9)

That's crazy they can still be Identical, My OB as well as the U/S tech told me because they each have their own sac as well as their own placenta they are considered fraternal. Because they each have their own egg and sperm thats how they are fraternal.
