Austin Babies

what will your toddler eat?

Help! I am really racking my brain here trying to come up with stuff. She seems to be super super picky as of late and everything that I give her she turns her nose up at. She has never really liked meat (lunch meat/chicken/beef).

The only things she will eat:

bananas

yogurt

oranges (sometimes)

fishsticks

goldfish

mac and cheese

apples (sometimes)

dry cereal

eggs (sometimes)

Things she used to love that now are thrown on the floor:

guacomole

cheese slices

tomatoes

bread

pickles

olives

pasta

waffles

french toast

peaches

pears

peas

peanut butter crackers

honeydew

blueberries

cantelope

sandwiches

carrots

oatmeal

Any ideas on what I can give her or try? I am really running out of ideas here.

Re: what will your toddler eat?

  • grapes

    strawberries

    raspberries

    watermelon

Cheese sticks (maybe stick form is better than slices?)  c likes both mozz and cheddar sticks

pizza--the real deal or english muffin pizza

peanut butter toast, with a tiny drizzle of honey if I need to bribe her

    raisins

    cereal bars

frozen peas just rinsed, but still cold (helps when teething, too)

    dried fruit

  • We're having similar issues. Apparently she'll eat anything and everything at daycare. Not so much at home. Serves me right for being a picky eater growing up.

DD used to eat so much more. Now, not so much. This is the list of foods that she'll eat:

String cheese - NOT regular cheese

Frozen Pea/Carrot Mix (she won't eat carrots unless they're mixed with peas)

    Bread

    Noodles (without cheese or sauce)

    Morning Star Turk'y Avocado Patties

    Hummus

    Meatballs

    Rotisserie Chicken

    Grapes (cut into 1/4s)

    Apples (thin slices)

    Pirate Bootie

    Veggie Straws

    Dried Blueberries

    Raisins

    Cheerios

GoGo Squeeze (or similar type) apple sauce - she won't let me feed her sauce on a spoon.

    Pears(only if they're super ripe)

    Bananas

    Goldfish

    Bacon

    Turkey Sausage

    Tofu (sometimes)

    Peanut or Almond Butter (sometimes)

    Animal Crackers

    Pretzels

    Yogurt

  • Loading the player...
  • Turkey lunchmeat (Boar's Head low-sodium)

Chicken and cheese quesadillas (on whole grain or veggie tortilla)

Fruit (bananas, strawberries, pears, peaches, oranges, pineapple, canteloupe, blueberries, apples, grapes...basically any fruit)

    Bread (whole grain)

Waffles (whole grain or sweet potato)

    Pancakes

    French toast

Yogurt (usually w/ applesauce or sweet potato puree)

    Veggie chips

    Cheese (string and regular)

    Raisins

    Cheerios

    Crackers

    Chicken nuggets

    Sweet potato fries

Pasta (including butternut squash stuffed ravioli)

    Macaroni and cheese

    Fish sticks

Pretty much any Dr. Praeger's or Happy Baby product

    Morningstar black bean burgers

Mini carrots (pretty much the only veggie she'll eat)

    Puffs

    Rice

  • Everyone who listed veggie straws/sticks - thank you! I just bought some and let her try them - she loves them! :)

Trying some more of yalls suggestions this week too. :)

  • Chiming in late, but I'll add (that I haven't already seen listed):

    black beans & tofu

DD will pretty much eat anything if you add rice to it {her Asian heritage is strong like bull} so we make a lot of rice casserole-type stuff.  I ALWAYS have rice in the fridge so I tend to mix stuff together with rice and cook it in the microwave (or on the stove if I have time) and feed it to her that way.
