Newborn Photos

Hi ladies,

 We need to start thinking of a photographer for newborn photos. Any recommendations? I don't think we are going to do mat photos...

I want someone good and professional. A bunch of DH's friends wives are into photography now and it's kind of uncomfortable that they are asking who is doing mine, because I really don't want anyone we know, or someone who is dabbling for fun..

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am on the eastside.

    Plus, you should consider maternity photos.  The time goes quickly and so does the memory of exactly what your baby bump looked like.:-)

    I agree. You might be able to get a package deal too! We recently used Stacy Atkin for 2 year photos - and loved the results (and her)

    I thought about mat photos, but I am so uncomfortable in front of the camera..LOL.

    I know you ladies are right though, it's such a precious moment to capture..

     Out of curiosity, what can I expect to pay for one or the other, or a mat/newborn package?

    I think a good photographer can help a lot with this.

    If one of those friends stands out you could have them do your maternity photos, for fun.  Since they aren't professional, i would hope they wouldn't expect compensation (except perhaps for film/developing).
