what's your favorite kind of sippy cup?

Do non-leaking ones exist?

Re: what's your favorite kind of sippy cup?

  • I swear the take and toss straw cups leak less than 99% of sippy cups.  C uses those and then we have a couple playtex sippy cups for times when we really need leak proof.  So, for water in his bed or when I'm definitely not going to be watching him at all (that sounds bad haha).  They very rarely leak unless something is totally wrong with the cup.
  • I swear by the playtex ones, I love them. The only time they leak for me is when they don't drink all of the milk between the blocker and the spout. Sometimes a little bit of milk will sit there and leak if it's tipped over. (a few drops)

This! I only use the take and toss straw cups. I've used the Playtex straw cups, Nuby sippy and straw cups - all of them leaked. The milk would come out of the top of the straw no matter what I did.

For traveling, obviously the Take and Toss don't work so I finally got all of my kids water bottles for when we're on the go, the pool, zoo etc.

  • I use the take & toss ones pretty much exclusively at home.  They stack & are cheap & don't leak as much as the better ones--they slowly leak out if turned on the side but the seal is good between the bottom & lid unlike the more $ ones.  If I am packing some to go somewhere...I take metal water bottles which don't leak.

I seriously love those cups. They are definitely leak resistant and I like that they canbe used with and without the lid. Bonus they super inexpensive.

  • I prefer playtex. I especially like that I can get new valves at BRU.

    Ha!

  • I recently found these from Gerber/Nuk:

I think we've had them a couple months now, and no leaking so far.

I also have the Thermos Foogo straw cups for water on the go, but I need replacement straws and I have yet to find them.

  • I absolutely LOVE the Tommee Tippee cups.  I have never had a problem with them leaking unless I didn't put the valve on correctly, and it is much easier for them to suck the milk out (some of the other ones require a lot of suction and jaw work).  They are by far my favorite.
